The One Where I Must Hone The Skill of Discipline

The old joke was “How do you get to Carnegie Hall?” The answer “Practice”

But is it enough to simply practice? I would argue, No.

You must try to improve each time, no matter what the endeavor. Even if it is a tiny bit, say 1%. Even that is not the entire piece of the puzzle.

There are plenty of days when I want to believe that tomorrow is a good time to start.

My Lesser Self likes to believe that discipline is a trait that some are born with while others are not. Thankfully though, my Heroic Self knows my Lesser Self is stupid and understands that discipline is a skill that must be strengthened, honed, and practiced.
