The One Where You Can Pay Me Now Or You Can Pay Me Later
I remember an advertisement for a car repair shop from years ago. The tagline was “You can pay me now or pay me later.”
The thought process was you can do the oil and filter change now for $25 or you can wait until the engine seizes and you can pay hundreds of dollars in the coming months.
Most people work that way. My wife, a dental hygienist, spends a lot of her time advising people to have preventative care done before they need a root canal or a crown. Some take her advice, some do not. The end result is that those who don’t take action earlier than later end up costing themselves a lot of pain and suffering as well as a lot more money.
As for me, I’m all about implementing earlier than later. As a StoryAthlete, I take a proactive approach. Changing and growing constantly to thrive within each chapter of an ever-updating story.
